Tasting Notes
Neal Martin NR
The 2020 Chablis Vosgros 1er Cru has a clean and precise bouquet, with touches of flint and chalk, cooking apple and Anjou pear. It unfurls nicely in the glass, burnt match scents emerging with time. The palate is well-balanced with a tangy, marmalade-tinged opening, though it never fully kicks on from that, so the finish feels rather flat and, for want of a better word, rather static. I am not certain how representative this bottle is. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
