Valpolicella

This is the newest addition: a wine that blends tradition and modernity, elegance and power, and brings together the essence of two great wine regions, Bordeaux and Valpolicella. This refined wine... presents itself with a more international style, showcasing the potential of our territory. It is made from a blend of 85% Corvina Veronese and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, produced using the same appassimento technique as Amarone, where both varieties undergo natural drying. The wine is aged for two years: first in amphora and barrels, followed by 11 months in first-use French oak barriques, which impart a complex aromatic profile with a pronounced yet well-balanced note of sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is rich and satisfying, where the full-bodied, dried Corvina is complemented by the vigor and energy of the Cabernet. Although the Cabernet is dried, it still delivers a burst of freshness that makes the finish long and persistent. First produced in 2017, with only 2,000 bottles, this wine represents a personal challenge for me: to push myself towards a broader, more modern style while staying true to my roots. The numbers "70" and "30" reflect the dual aspects of this wine—these are the birth years of both myself and my father, Leone, from whom I learned the art of appassimento.
