The 2024 Sancerre La Grande Cote hails from a very steep, east-facing slope on Kimmeridgian soils. There’s a gentleness to the mid-palate – it’s rounded but elegant without any heaviness. Delicate florals and pineapple notes combine on the seamless palate, with a flow of mouthwatering acidity on the finish. A little more intensity and length would be desirable, but there’s a lot to like here.
