Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 93
The 2021 Pommard Clos des Epeneaux 1er Cru has a classy bouquet with assiduous use of whole cluster that complements the red berry fruit. Wonderful delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation, fresh and vibrant, finely sculpted tannins with a sense of mineralite and tension on the finish that has far more sustain than its peers. This is a classy and quite delicious wine for the vintage. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
Anticipated maturity: 2026-2042
