Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 95
The 2019 Barolo Margheria is more savory/mineral in profile than the other Barolos in the range, with less overt fruit but plenty of persistence. In recent years, Giampaolo Pira has found a way to tame the formidable tannins here, and that is very much evident in this gorgeous, expressive Barolo.

Serralunga d Alba. Mid ruby. Sour cherry with a pinch of gingerbread. Quite sweet and ripe yet supple on the palate and with plenty of ripe acidity to keep it going. Can probably age, but already approachable now. Great tannic bite adds contrast on the finish. (WS)
Anticipated maturity: 2023-2036
