Tasting Notes

Monforte d’Alba. Just mid ruby. Lifted and earthy with brooding spice notes, it does recall a bit of the spiciness of Bussia (source of the grapes, apparently, but not confirmed). Minerally too. Laser-sharp focus on the palate. Not enormously concentrated but elegant and fragrant and with a layer of very fine tannins. (WS)
