Tasting Notes
Antonio Galloni 93
The gracious, perfumed 2014 Montevertine is a wine of pure finesse. Silky, slender and exceptionally beautiful, it is not the most obvious or powerful Montevertine, but it impresses with its balance, poise and class. Floral notes add nuance to the bright, sculpted finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2020-2034
Wine Advocate 92
"A bright layer of primary fruit peels off the bouquet of the pretty 2014 Montevertine. This is a wine of sure pedigree, although the fruit aspires to a lower intensity threshold in this difficult vintage. The wine will surely flesh out with more bottle aging, but the vintage DNA is what it is. This subtle Sangiovese shows long silkiness and crispness on the finish."
Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028
