Ruby-red. Pungent floral lift to the aromas of redcurrant, sandalwood and sassafras. Sweet and supple on entry, showing good depth to its red fruit flavors. Finishes moderately long, with polished tannins and a persistent floral note. Very successful in this vintage.
Mid crimson. Low key, slightly opulent notes. Fresh and perfumed. Real floral vigour to this. Well mannered but far from fleshy. Just well balanced.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2028

This is a seductive wine from an estate that normally produces wines much lighter in style. In 2010, the La Grave a Pomerol displays plenty of cherry cola notes intermixed with hints of plum sauce, Asian spices, and loamy soil undertones. It is medium-bodied, round, generous and ideal for drinking over the next decade.
