The 2006 L’Apparita is one of the most reticent wines in this tasting. Vibrant and explosive in feel, the 2006 comes across as very tight today. Readers will have to be patient, but all the ingredients are present for the 2006 to develop into a more expressive and representative Apparita with further time in bottle.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2031

The 2006 L’Apparita (Merlot) reveals gorgeous clarity and precision. It is another large-scaled, dramatic wine, rich in baritone notes of dark fruit, menthol, herbs, licorice and new leather. The tannins build mightily on the vibrant finish, yet this remains an impeccable, polished wine of remarkable beauty. I only hope to have a chance to taste the wine again in the future?.amazingly today it tastes just like it did from tank in November 2006! Anticipated maturity: 2016-2022.
