Robert Parker 86-88
This wine seems to be in the process of putting on some weight and texture. Dark ruby/purple, with a sweet nose of black cherries, currants, plums, earth, and licorice, the wine is medium-bodied, with a nice plush entry on the palate, adequate acidity, and moderately ripe tannin in the finish. It does not appear to have the volume, depth, and power of the 2000, but there are good things going on. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2013.

First bottle oxidised. Second bottle exceedingly plummy on the nose. Quite dry start. Interesting. Lively young wine that should mature nicely.
