Impressive deep ruby color. Perfumed, inky, dark berry aroma. Sweet, supple and velvety on the palate. Finishes with lots of dusty tannins and an enticing floral note. Atypically strong for this wine.

This estate’s second wine, the 1995 Pavillon du Chateau Margaux, may turn out to be one of the most delicious examples the property has made. The wine is forward, sexy, round, and generous, with gobs of black fruit and a subtle dosage of new oak. It should drink well for 10-15 years.
Anticipated maturity: 1998-2013
Full, burly, big. Confident, distinctive, good at expressing bordeaux with some opulence. Good sheen and very fine tannins. Crisp finish. Good balance.
