Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 86
Tasted at Handford’s 21st Anniversary tasting in Holland Park. The 1989 Tignanello has a respectable bouquet with soft, slightly diffuse red berries and saddle leather. The palate is medium-bodied and supple in the mouth, although there are unwanted toffee flavours that detract from its freshness, whilst the fungal finish has become bitter with age. Probably a couple of years past its peak. Tasted October 2010.
