Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 86
Tasted at Roberson’s Gaja vertical. Clear ruby hue with a thin tawny rim. The nose is rather anonymous compared to the ’78 poured alongside. There is certainly some under-ripe fruit here. The palate is medium-bodied, rather raw with sharp acidity jutting against sour cherry, bell pepper fruit on the fleshy finish. It deserves a pat on the back for having lasted so long. Drink now Tasted October 2010.
