Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 81
Tasted at Roberson’s Gaja vertical. The 1970 Barbaresco is slightly cloudy in the glass. The nose is musty and fungal: damp moss, mothballs and wood resin. The palate is not quite as poor as the bouquet. Sharp acidity on the entry, a bucolic, wood-dominated Barbaresco with a bitter, short beefy finish. Past its best. Tasted October 2010.
