Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 83
(Magnum) This was a disappointing showing. Although it displayed a dark, plummy/chocolatey color and an earthy, spicy nose, the emaciated fruit and high acidity gave the impression of a hard, lean, sterile, ungenerous wine. Other tastings have revealed an outstanding wine from this great vintage.

Dense blackish ruby with a yellow rim. Wonderfully savoury and composed on both nose and palate. Still quite enough fruit – though far from a modern monster. great balsam undertow with fruit still trumping acidity and tannins long forgotten. Such impressive length. Traditional claret incarnate. Fresh as a daisy.
