Situated in Vergisson in the heart of the Mâconnais, Domaine Saumaize Michelin produce a range of whites from 9.5ha across Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran. Christine and Roger Saumaize, now joined by their children Vivien and Lisa farm their 9.5ha biodynamically with very limited yields, all harvested manually. Barrel fermentation and maturation on the lees produces broad, sunny, spicy wines which punch well above their modest price points.
